WHAT I DO
In my role as Chairman I serve as a strategic adviser to Achieve. Drawing from my years of experience in the nonprofit sector, I help create the vision and direction for Achieve's role with clients and in the community.
WORK OUTSIDE ACHIEVE
I began my career in higher education at my alma mater, Wabash College, as an admissions officer, and shortly thereafter moved on to Northern Illinois University as the assistant director of development. Later, I joined Franklin College as Vice President of Development and Public Affairs. There, I rose through the ranks and eventually served as Acting President in 1993. After a successful 10 years at Franklin, I co-founded Johnson, Grossnickle and Associates (JGA) in 1994, the same year I was named Fundraising Executive of the Year by the Indiana Chapter of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives (now the Association of Fundraising Professionals).
GIVING BACK
I currently serve on the Board of Trustees at both Wabash College and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and I am the Chair of the Board of Visitors for the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. I have also served as a member of the Board of Lambda Chi Alpha International Fraternity, Leadership Johnson County and the Franklin Redevelopment Commission.
