Nonprofit organizations in Indiana, Colorado and Washington, D.C., have been awarded Achieve Grants, giving them free access to organization-strengthening services often out of reach to nonprofits.
National Stroke Association in Centennial, Colorado, the Volunteer Nursing Associations of America in Washington, D.C., and Hendricks Regional Health Foundation in Danville, Indiana, will receive services from the philanthropy veterans at Achieve, an Indianapolis-based firm that provides fundraising, strategic planning and management counsel for nonprofits.
“Most nonprofits have a surplus of passion, but they lack resources for developing organizational strength that can support that passion,” said Achieve CEO Derrick Feldmann. “These grants are designed to help nonprofits strengthen their organizations so they can increase their effectiveness.”
Hendricks Regional Health Foundation in Danville, Indiana, will receive Achieve Coaching services. National Stroke Association and the Volunteer Nursing Associations of America each will receive Achieve Consulting services valued up to $15,000.
More than 80 nonprofit organizations from across the country applied for the grants. Recipients were chosen through an application process and based on each organization’s level of need and stage of organizational development. This is the second year the grants have been awarded.
“By giving a bit of ourselves, our expertise and our resources, Achieve is giving back,” said CEO Derrick Feldmann. “Ultimately, our goal is to help all of our clients and grantees build stronger organizations that have a positive impact on the communities they serve.”
Achieve Grant recipients will also receive access to the Achieve client website containing an online Resource Library of more than 150 templates and guidance pieces; 12 Webinar sessions; the Achieve It! project and goal-setting tool; and a subscription to Achieve’s monthly newsletter.
