Lee Ann Jourdan, Executive Director
Girls Inc. of Monroe County
“I can’t say it any more concise than this – Lee Ann is Girls Inc! She embodies our mission and exemplifies our ideals,” shared Girls Inc. of Monroe County Board President, Steve Jascewsky. We at Achieve agree! And, that’s why Lee Ann Jourdan has been selected as a recipient of the Achieve Scholarship to the Axelson Center BootCamp.
Lee Ann’s story is one of a young, ambitious employee, who returned to the organization a few years later to serve as the executive director. Dedicated to the mission of Girls Inc.—Lee Ann worked for the organization from 2002 to 2006, overseeing the agency's after-school program and day camps.
Lee Ann most recently served as the associate development director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Indiana and now fills a void left by a highly respected and long-time executive director. Lee Ann recently shared her enthusiasm for her position, energetically stating, "I love the Girls Inc. mission of raising the self-esteem and confidence of girls, fighting against gender inequities, and celebrating girls and womanhood."
