Seminar Offers Venue to Develop Fundraising Strategies

Posted: March 27, 2009     printer friendly

Nonprofit organizations without a fundraising plan aren’t likely to be as successful as those with an established plan. In a down economy, a fundraising plan is even more critical to success, and Achieve, an Indianapolis-based consulting firm for nonprofits, is offering a new seven-session series to help nonprofit executives develop a strategy for successful fundraising.

“Now is not the time to withdraw,” said Achieve Chairman and Co-founder Ted Grossnickle. “The organizations that continue to thrive are the ones that forge a strategy for success in good and bad times. Our ‘Achieve Your Strategy’ seminar series will provide them with the tools and knowledge to plan their own success.”

With more than 100 years of experience guiding nonprofit organizations, Achieve’s founders are uniquely equipped to help nonprofits through the process of developing a fundraising strategy that complements an organization’s broader strategy and helps raise funds from diverse constituencies.

Each of the seven seminar sessions will include one hour of online training with Achieve principals and peer nonprofit leaders. Those sessions will be complemented by two one-on-one, one-hour sessions for each participating organization. To make these sessions possible, the “Achieve Your Strategy” series is limited to 20 registered participants.

“These sessions will provide organizations with a unique plan tailored to their specific challenges and opportunities; a plan that they can actually execute, as opposed to just another plan that gets parked on a shelf,” Grossnickle said. “That’s why we’re catering to nonprofit CEOs and Executive Directors, Development Directors, and board members serving organizations in leadership roles in fundraising.”

To make sure that the seminars are accessible to organizations of all sizes, Achieve is offering the series of seven sessions at deeply discounted rates, compared to Achieve’s normal consulting fees. “Recognizing the widespread continued needs of our community and the budgetary constraints of nonprofit organizations, making sure that every organization has access to this resource is important to us,” shared Grossnickle.
